Tennessee R.E.A.D.S

We are pleased to announce that there are now locally owned books and audiobooks on R.E.A.D.S. Log into your account with your library card and pin numbers, scroll down the page and you will see the tiles. The advantage to you, our patron, is that your wait time on locally owned books will decrease significantly.  


The OverDrive App is no longer supported. You will need to download the Libby app to continue reading e pub books from TN R.E.A.D.S. If you need assistance please call or stop by the library. 


Starting on September 29,2021 you will need a 4 digit password to access your account. Call the library and the staff will add a password to your account. 


The Clyde W. Roddy Public Library has access to Tennessee R.E.A.D.S. Overdrive which is a state funded online resource to download books, audios and magazines. To access the site you will need to choose our library from the drop down menu and have your library card number and password  available. You can download in a Kindle (Kindle app) or e Pub (Libby app) format. 

 

Please remember, if you signed up to use Tennessee R.E.A.D.S. with your cell phone number, that cell phone number registrations only work in R.E.A.D.S for one year. After that year, they expire, and you will need to come to the library if you wish to obtain a library card to continue using R.E.A.D.S.
When the cell phone registration expires, the you may get a ‘verify’ card message, but the number will never verify, due to the one-year limit.
Once you obtain a library card from the library and have holds/checked out items associated with your expired cell phone number registration in R.E.A.D.S., you will need to email R.E.A.D.S support (reads.support@tn.gov) and ask them to merge the cell number account into your new library card account. Please remember to include your cell number and your new library card number in the body of the message when you email R.E.A.D.S. support.
