Clyde W. Roddy Public Library building is Handicap Accessible, including the restrooms, book stacks, computers, and meeting rooms. Staff is available to assist anyone with special needs. The Library’s Large Print Collection consists of thousands of books with print 3 times larger than print found in regular books. The collection contains all the latest bestsellers along with core collections of romances, mysteries, westerns, and non-fiction. Books on Tape and Books on CD are available which include best-selling fiction and nonfiction, plus romances, mysteries, and self-help instruction.
Tennessee Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped has an application form for this program. Anyone with a physical disability that makes it difficult to read standard print may borrow books from the library. Qualifying disabilities include: blindness, visual impairment, manual dexterity problems which make it difficult for a person to hold a book and/or turn pages, and reading disabilities. Forms are available at the Clyde W. Roddy Public Library.
